Noorani Qaida Online: The Complete Beginner's Guide for Kids and Adults (2026)

Every Quran reader started somewhere — and for millions, that start was the Noorani Qaida. If you or your child cannot yet read Arabic, learning Noorani Qaida online with a one-on-one tutor is the fastest, most reliable way to begin reading the Quran correctly.

What is Noorani Qaida?

Noorani Qaida is a structured primer, compiled by Sheikh Noor Muhammad Ludhianvi, that teaches Arabic letters, sounds and joining rules in the exact order needed to read the Quran. It builds Tajweed from the very first lesson, so correct pronunciation becomes a habit.

What you learn, lesson by lesson

• Single letters (Huroof Mufradat): the 29 Arabic letters and their correct Makharij (points of articulation).
• Joined letters (Murakkabat): how letters change shape at the start, middle and end of words.
• Harakat: Fatha, Kasra and Damma — the short vowels.
• Tanween: double vowels and their nasal sounds.
• Madd letters: stretching sounds correctly.
• Sukoon and Shaddah: stopped and doubled letters.
• Practice with Quranic words: reading real ayat before moving to the Mushaf.

How long does Noorani Qaida take?

Most children finish in 3–6 months with regular classes; adults often complete it in 2–4 months because they grasp rules faster. Consistency matters more than class length — short, frequent lessons work best, especially for young kids.

What age should children start?

Many children are ready from age 4–5, once they can focus for 15–20 minutes and recognise shapes. Our tutors use games, praise and repetition to keep little ones engaged. Read our guide to online Quran classes for kids for more.

Is it too late for adults and reverts?

Never. Many of our adult students and reverts start from zero with Noorani Qaida and read their first page of Quran within months. A one-on-one tutor removes the embarrassment of learning alongside children.

Why learn Noorani Qaida online with a tutor?

• Arabic sounds like ع, ح and ق are hard to learn from apps alone — a teacher corrects you in real time.
• Lessons follow your pace; nothing is skipped until it is mastered.
• Male and female tutors available, with flexible times for your time zone.

What comes after Qaida?

Students move on to Quran reading (Nazra), then Tajweed and, for those who wish, Hifz. Explore the Noorani Qaida course or check our monthly plans.
